Anora McGaha is a professional writer and internet publicist with a passion for creating your best presence on the internet. Two and a half years ago she began developing Web sites for individuals under the business name ClearSite Web Designs. In 2008, she began her blogging work and internet publicity work in earnest, finally able to find the area she had the most interest and passion for. Being in business for yourself allows that discovery.
With the vast universe of the internet there is so much to explore. We have global access to information in close to two hundred languages. Breathtakingly brilliant people are designing incredible social media sites which allow us to build connections, to weave a web of significant and relevant connections, around the world. Google and dozens of other companies are providing search engines, translations, free online workspaces, free blog hosting, free photo hosting, and the list goes on.
Internet publicity is new, innovative, experimental, creative, fun and challenging all at once and serves the very important work of making it easy for people to find what is available to serve them.

She works closely with mega-networker, super-connector and coach, author and teacher Martin Brossman. She is a member of the South Wind Collaborative which brings together colleagues as a team to work on projects.
Background and Education Raised overseas, in the Middle East, the daughter and granddaughter of diplomats, she comes from a highly educated family. She has a BA in Chinese Languages and Literature from The University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass. and a Master’s in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University in Massachusetts. She studied a junior year abroad in Taiwan at Tunghai University, and a post graduate year in China, at Beijing Normal University. She continued her studies with a coaching certificate in Business Coaching from the Business Coaching Institute through Duke University’s Continuing Education program in North Carolina.
Corporate Work Experience Anora spent close to twenty years working in analytical roles in US organizations, including a New York Money Center bank; a major Massachusetts insurance company; one of the top US universities; a small manufacturing company exploring solar electric power generation; a television network; a US Government agency; a computer hardware manufacturer, and a major software company.
Business Writing All of her work involved writing, whether documenting credit recommendations, or summarizing results of a consulting study; reporting on the lessons learned of a project; recording research results; writing recommendations for people; and most recently, three years writing marketing communications content for consulting services, internal web content for the sales force, and internal news stories for a division news letter, and other internal network sites.
Blogging Anora who also goes by The North Carolina Blogger, began blogging in earnest in 2008. Though a relative newcomer to the blogsphere, she maintains about two dozen blogs (no not daily) on a whole variety of topics and for different purposes.
Family Anora lives with her husband, Martin and their rescued beagle, Lady. Her husband is a video engineer, Air Force veteran, marathon runner and photographer. Anora has a twenty year old son who is a senior at university. Anora believes in giving back to the community and volunteers in the Triangle region of North Carolina where she lives.
